Bob Bishop’s Rush
Bob Bishop.
Located on the western slope of the Nine Mile, about half a mile short of the Nine Mile workings, Bob Bishop’s Rush was discovered in 1907 and named for Bob Bishop, one of Lightning Ridge’s early miners. The ground was shallow, with good colour reported, though it was never a major producer. Bob Bishop once said of the site, “I expect big things there one day.”
