Harry Walsh

Henry “Harry” Patrick Walsh (sometimes spelled Walshe) was born in 1851, the son of Patrick and Mary. He married Mary Agnes Briscoe in New South Wales in 1898.

Walsh appears on Regan’s Store ledger at Lightning Ridge from 1912 to 1921. Harry Walsh found the opal field later known as Walshe’s, situated between Pony Fence and Cleared Line.

Harry Walsh died at Sydney on 6 February 1936, aged 85, and was buried in New South Wales.
